The Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 and The Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, 1996 set the minimum standards for health and safety in the workplace, including protection from violence and harassment in the workplace. In Saskatchewan workers are most likely to be covered by the provincial Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations. 

Saskatchewan Labour, one of the agencies concerned with safe workplace practices, administers The Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations. Another agency concerned with safe workplace practices is the The Saskatchewan Federation of Labour. 

2005 Convention Resolution #64:

The Saskatchewan Federation of Labour pressure the Provincial and Federal Governments, along with the CLC, to ban the use of asbestos for any purpose including import, export or manufacturing,
