Province-wide tour of the Friends of Medicare Tree

Friends of Medicare is doing something a little different, a province-wide art project that shows how much Albertans value our public health system. We are creating, the Medicare Tree, a large metal tree with sculptured people around each trunk, as an artistic symbol of the value of public health care. Everyone can contribute by inscribing their name or message on thin copper leaves. When the leaves are all attached the Alberta Medicare tree will be displayed as public art. We are providing branches and copper leaves to organizations and communities who want to join in, add their leaves and show their support for public health care. Albertans cherish Medicare but we are in grave danger of losing it. Carve your name for public health care before it is torn out by its roots.
