Working People Call for Private Sector Pension Summit to Address Pension Crisis

 

Working people across the province are calling on the provincial government this morning to address the fact that, according to the latest available data from Statistics Canada, only about 28 percent of Saskatchewan people working in the private sector enjoy membership in a registered pension plan. As a first step in dealing with the critical situation, the Federation of Labour is calling on the government of Saskatchewan to immediately organize a summit on pensions in the province’s private sector.
